Booking Online
1. Complete our ONLINE Booking FORM
2. Include the apartment you would like to rent (Superior 1 or 2 bedroom, Deluxe or Townhouse), the exact dates required and the number of guests and any extra items you may need. Eg: cot, high chair, rollway etc.
3. The availability calendar is below for your convenience.
4. A deposit is paid either PayPal or direct EFT.
5. You will then receive by email your booking confirmation.
Arrivals and Departure times
Check in is at 2.00 p.m. and checkout is at 10.00 a.m. promptly. We will endeavour to arrange an early check in for guests arriving from interstate or overseas, however please remember that the previous guests have not checked out until 10.00 am and the apartments must be thoroughly cleaned.
Do you have Wireless Internet?
Yes, there is a small charge and you purchase per hour, so if you buy 10 hours and use ½ today you will have 9 ½ hours to use for later use. Internet is purchased from reception. We also have an internet café which is available during office hours.
Do you have a swimming pool?
Yes, Pool hours are from 7am to 10pm, Children are to be supervised by an adult under 12 years of age.
Pool towels are provided and to only be used within the complex. If towels are lost or stolen a charge of $15 per towel will be charged to your account.
Are meals provided?
No, but … we do have ‘Room Service’ by Gourmet Deliveries 7 Days a week, for Breakfast 7am to 10 am and 5pm to 9pm. From some of the most popular and well known restaurants in Cairns. Meals are delivered to your door and only a phone call away. Whether you’re on holiday, working back or living a very busy lifestyle, they are the perfect choice for home delivery.
Alternatively, you can take a short stroll to the array of restaurants and eateries.
How do I get there and how far from the airport?
We are about a 10 minute drive, Exit airport road and turn left onto Captain Cook Highway, heading South toward city centre.
At the second set of lights past the statue of Captain Cook (he is on your left), turn left into UPWARD STREET,
then the first turn right into GRAFTON STREET
Getaway is towards the middle of the block on your right 157-159 Grafton Street.
Do you have secure car parking?
Yes, some parks are undercover and some without.
Are restaurants close?
Restaurants start from a 2 minute walk and up to 20 minutes for some. Meals can also be ordered in with Gourmet Deliveries.
How far to the CBD?
About a 5 minute walk

Yes, we offer a FREE BOOKING service, and available during our office hours.

What is the Climate like?
Warm all year round, humid during the wet and very comfortable during the dry.
Rather than having a distinct four seasons there are really only two - the wet and the dry, Cairns is a truly tropical climate. The wet season runs from about November to May and the dry season from June to October. Whatever the time of the year it is difficult to say that it gets cold in Cairns however in June and July you can often here locals complaining about the cold snap as it gets down to 10 degrees Celsius (about 66 Fahrenheit) overnight.
In the wet season the rain can be impressive. When it falls it comes in a heavy downpour that would normally flood a town for weeks. In Cairns it all drains away in a few hours and it is back to business as usual. In the wet season tropical cyclones can influence the weather. These are the same as hurricanes in the Northern hemisphere. Whilst they can be quite destructive cities like Cairns are built to withstand the strong winds.
For most of the year the climate in Cairns is simply perfect. Blue skies, warm but not to hot and gentle breezes to help make the palm trees sway.
How many people in one apartment?
The rooms are based on 4 persons, there is a Queen in the main room and 2 singles in the 2nd room. The 2 singles can be made into a King. A maximum of 6 can sleep. (Rollaways for the extra bedding). Cots are available at an extra charge per night.
Can I stay long term?
You can book up to 3 months in anyone apartment. Contact reception for enquiries and availability.
Do you have Corporate Stays?
Yes, Corporate guests stay frequently and rates are negotiated with management.
Can I bring my pet?
Sorry, NO pets are allowed.
Is smoking permitted inside the apartments?
No, Getaway on Grafton (self contained apartments Cairns) has a very strict NO SMOKING policy. If there is any evidence of smoking in any of our apartments there will be an automatic direct debit of $400.00 into your credit card.
There are ashtrays provided on your balconies.

There are telephone facilities in each apartment enabling you to receive and make calls. Wireless Internet is available for a small fee at reception.
